在非繁殖期，无论雄鼠，还是雌鼠，两鼠相遇后，总是胜鼠的胁腺标记行为明显多于败鼠，说明非繁殖状况的大仓鼠仍然有明显的胁腺标记行为，与攻击行为有密切关系。同时胜鼠的胁腺标记行为频次增多，说明胁腺标记的化学信号可以表明其优势地位，有利于保护巢穴和储存的食物(Johnston，1985)。
本文所研究的大仓鼠彼此相互陌生，动物之间的熟悉程度会影响其对彼此气味的反应和行为关系(Ferkin等，1987；Ferkin，1988)。有关熟悉大仓鼠在非繁殖期的气味选择和行为关系有待进一步研究。
